A wedding isn’t just an event that happened out of nowhere. It requires a long process of preparation, informing guests, and discussing the tiniest detail of your reception with the closest people. Before the dress, the guests, and the photos, there is a story of two people learning about each other, adjusting, and choosing to share their precious moments in life together.
This is where our CEO, Brit Morin, realized there should be a dedicated space where couples could prepare for their wedding without pressure but with a sense of adventure.
So, what is Weduary about? It is a platform that helps couples create their personal wedding websites and organize every detail of their special day in one place — dates, locations, schedules, RSVP information, travel notes, and personal messages.
But we don’t stop there. We understand that international relationships may have ups and downs. That is why we cover the cultural peculiarities of different nations, so that both partners can get to know each other better before their Day X.
Where the Idea Came From
While the idea of the wedding builder was well thought out as a novelty in the online world at the time, it quickly became clear that couples needed more than just a place to share their plans.
Our team noticed that international couples often have many gaps at thebeginning of their relationships. And it has nothing to do with the strength of their feelings. It is because they often speak different languages, traditions vary, and expectations about their family lives don’t always match.
This is where we decided to broaden our wedding builder into a greater project that will cover cultural context from different countries to bridge the gap between international partners. Currently, Weduary is a platform focused on the path to marriage, not just the ceremony itself.
